A total of 115 countries and 22 international organizations convened in Astana, Kazakhstan to participate in the Astana Future Energy EXPO 2017. The theme of the Expo is "future energy", the exhibitors focused on the development and utilization of new energy, advocating for the most effective, most appropriate and most feasible sustainable development action plans to explore future energy development cooperation.
This is the World Exposition hosted by a Central Asian country. At the opening ceremony of the World Expo of 9, Kazakhstan’s President Nazarbayev pronounced that the Expo is a new climax to show the image of Kazakhstan and that the country will take this opportunity to actively promote the use of renewable energy, reduce energy consumption, and gradually transition to a green economy. Nazarbayev announced that the "future energy" EXPO will explore the scientific progress of mankind and delve to the core of modern technological innovation.
